We are seeking a skilled OB/GYN Physician for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in New York, starting September 1, 2025. This unique opportunity offers a flexible, sporadic schedule throughout the year, with the potential for a 6-month extension. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive OB/GYN care, including deliveries and C-sections, in a hospital setting with a Trauma Center and NICU. Shifts typically include 15-hour nights (5 pm-8 am) and 24-hour weekends (8 am-8 am), with occasional 24-hour weekday coverage. The position requires in-house call and flexibility to work 30-45 hours per month.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:


• Provide comprehensive OB/GYN care, including prenatal, delivery, and postpartum services


• Perform vaginal deliveries and C-sections as needed


• Manage high-risk pregnancies in collaboration with the NICU team


• Respond to obstetrical and gynecological emergencies


• Conduct in-house call duties during assigned shifts


• Accurately document patient encounters using Epic EMR system


• Collaborate with nursing staff, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals


• Adhere to hospital protocols and best practices in obstetrics and gynecology


• Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling and willingness to cover various shift patterns


• Maintain a patient-centered approach to care, ensuring high-quality outcomes


Additional Information:


• Must be licensed to practice medicine in New York


• Experience in high-volume obstetrics and gynecology required


• Comfort with working in a Trauma Center and collaborating with NICU


• Proficiency with Epic EMR system preferred


• Strong communication and teamwork skills essential


• Ability to adapt to new environments and work efficiently in a contract role
