St. Josephs Health is seeking a fellowship-trained, board-certified Medical Director of OB/GYN for a 0.1 FTE (4 hours per week) position. This is a unique and exciting opportunity for a practicing OB/GYN looking to advance their career by taking on a leadership role while continuing their own clinical practice. Position Overview:

As the Medical Director of OB/GYN, you will oversee departmental activities and ensure the delivery of high-quality medical care, balancing both clinical responsibilities and administrative leadership. In partnership with our administrative team, you will help foster an environment of excellence in patient care and physician collaboration. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside a dynamic, physician-friendly team while utilizing the latest technologies and treatments in womens health care. This part-time role is ideal for a practicing OB/GYN in the community who is looking to take on leadership responsibilities, expand their professional growth, and make a significant impact in the department.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the administrative team to oversee department activities.
  • Manage cost management, utilization review, quality assurance, and medical protocol development.
  • Participate in the recruitment and interviewing process for division physicians and advanced practice providers.
  • Attend meetings and assist in managing department budgets.
  • Ensure a patient-centered approach in the delivery of care.
  • Monitor quality and appropriateness of medical care.
  • Provide leadership and guidance for performance guidelines and assist in policy/procedure development.
  • Oversee clinical peer review, documentation, and care planning.
  • Assist with clinical patient complaints and contribute to provider education.
  • Support onboarding and training of new providers.
  • Address physician and staff behavior and impairment issues in collaboration with administration.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Interest in practicing a mix of obstetrics & gynecology, including surgery.

Compensation:

  • Competitive compensation at $185/hr.
