This opportunity involves 24-hour shifts for OB Hospitalists, with responsibilities that include providing GYN coverage, backing up midwives and family practice, and having access to first assist support (typically provided by midwives, residents, or group members). Hospitalists are not required to first assist but have the option if needed. Backup is available through OB/GYN ED call. The facility features a Level III NICU and conducts approximately 3,739 births annually, averaging 527 total hospital deliveries per month. Hospitalists can expect around 16 deliveries and 431 non-delivery patient encounters per month. There is no MFM or residency program onsite, but in-house anesthesia is available. The EMR system used is Epic.
