GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Office of the Attorney General (OAG) Child Support (CS) Information Technology Division is hiring a Systems Administrator for its End User Services team. Work involves maintaining the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of systems. Installs and upgrades computer components and system software.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS
Manage computer and user system policies (via Intune, SCCM, Group Policy), analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or to improve existing systems, and implement proactive improvements to enhance user experience and system performance.
Responsible for developing and testing Windows Operating System images for the agency's enterprise. Build standardized Windows Operating System including driver package preparation, deployment preparation, quality control and documentation for automated deployments on various hardware platforms using SCCM.
Create and maintain computer and software standards. Create and update enterprise package deployment, custom application packages of existing vendor packages as necessary, and test and validate packages using tools like SCCM, Intune or scripting. Provides detailed knowledge and experience to administer and maintain SCCM Current Branch.
Perform systems installations on PC hardware and provide troubleshooting of OS level stability and performance issues. Create scripts to automate software applications, fixes, etc for deployments via SCCM. Determines operational, technical, and system requirements for the location, installation, operation, and maintenance of servers.
Communicates complex technical concepts clearly both in writing and verbal exchanges. Participate as a Subject Matter Expert in end-user computing for various projects and initiatives for the agency. Participate in large roll outs, create pilot plans, and assist with various projects and other End User Service functions when needed.

Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduation from high school or equivalent
Experience: Three years of full-time experience with systems administration and systems management; may substitute credit hours from an accredited college or university for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Experience operating in and troubleshooting enterprise environments (WAN/LAN, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Printer Services, etc.)
Experience supporting Office 365 applications
Experience and advanced knowledge of Intune, SCCM and other modern computer management tools
Knowledge of basic network items such as IP(Endpoints), DNS, Firewalls, and Windows Host Files
Knowledge of basic software comprehension such as installation, configuration, packaging, deploying, TS, and usage
Knowledge of Windows OS and Windows user profiles
Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and listening) with the ability to communicate effectively with staff of varying technical expertise
Skill in reading and understanding Windows log files for troubleshooting purposes
Skill in facilitating meetings and creating presentations
Skill in effective time management - handling multiple tasks, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines
Skill in exercising sound judgment and effective decision making
Ability to study existing information processing systems to evaluate effectiveness and develops new systems to improve production or workflow as required.
Ability to maintain workstation/server data integrity by using appropriate software and hardware solutions along with implementing a schedule of backups for data archiving.
Ability to mentor junior technical staff
Ability to work autonomously and complete work efficiently and timely with high-level goals and direction
Ability to receive and respond positively to constructive feedback
Ability to work cooperatively with others in a professional environment
Ability to provide excellent customer service
Ability to arrange for personal transportation for business-related travel
Ability to work in person at an OAG work location, if needed, working standard hours as directed
Ability to work more than 40 hours as needed and in compliance with the FLSA
Ability to lift and relocate 30 lbs.
Ability to travel (including overnight travel) up to 5%
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with ITSM tools for tracking requests, such as ServiceNow
