Office 365 Systems Administrator - Financial Compliance Focus

Location: Richwood, PA Onsite/Hybrid
Job Type: Contract/Contract to Hire
Salary: $110,000-120,000 About Us:
We are a leading organization in the financial services sector, committed to innovation, regulatory excellence, and data integrity. We are currently seeking a skilled Office 365 Systems Administrator to join our IT team. This role is critical in ensuring our Microsoft 365 environment is optimized for security, performance, and regulatory compliance, particularly in line with financial industry standards (e.g., SOX, FINRA, SEC, GDPR). Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer, monitor, and optimize the Microsoft 365 environment (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune, etc.)
  • Ensure adherence to financial compliance regulations and internal audit requirements across M365 services
  • Implement and maintain data loss prevention (DLP), eDiscovery, retention policies, and compliance solutions within the Microsoft 365 compliance center
  • Collaborate with internal audit, legal, and compliance teams to support regulatory reporting and audit readiness
  • Perform regular risk assessments and participate in incident response activities related to O365 infrastructure
  • Manage user permissions, role-based access control, and multifactor authentication policies
  • Develop documentation, SOPs, and training materials focused on secure and compliant usage of Microsoft 365
  • Stay current with Microsoft roadmap changes, updates, and compliance tools relevant to the financial sector
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience managing Microsoft 365 environments
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Purview Compliance solutions (Information Protection, Insider Risk Management, eDiscovery, etc.)
  • Experience working in a regulated industry, preferably finance or banking
  • Understanding of financial compliance frameworks: SOX, GLBA, SEC, FINRA, etc.
  • Familiarity with identity and access management, including Azure AD and Conditional Access
  • Scripting skills with PowerShell for automation and reporting
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Microsoft certifications (MS-102, SC-400, or similar)
  • Experience with Microsoft Defender for Office 365 and Sentinel
  • Exposure to GRC (Governance, Risk, Compliance) platforms or tools
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
