Summary:Schedule: 5:00am to 1:30pm or 6:00am to 2:30pm, some occasional weekends/evenings as needed.
The Nutrition Services Shift Lead may work in multiple retail locations on the main campus. This individual, under the leadership of on-site management, coordinates the activities of workers and/or service employees engaged in food operations. The responsibilities may differ from day to day, depending on business necessities.
Essential Job Functions:- Coordinates all Nutrition Services activities within the production and service areas, following department standards.
- Focuses on the basics of food quality and quality service.
- Holds staff accountable and follows up immediately on all performance issues.
- Orientates, coaches and mentors staff within team and department ensuring department cohesiveness and provides recognition to employees, as appropriate.
- Identifies Quality Improvement needs and ensures quality incorporating the quality improvement process.
- Coordinates and maintains staffing according to departmental needs in a cost efficient manner.
- Orders assigned supplies as needed within department guidelines in a cost effective manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
