We are seeking a passionate and experienced Nurse Manager to join our team and lead a dynamic Medical-Surgical unit towards excellence.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct leadership and supervision to a team of registered nurses (RNs) and other healthcare professionals in the Med-Surg unit.
Ensure the highest quality of patient care is delivered, adhering to evidence-based practices, hospital policies, and regulatory standards.
Develop, implement, and evaluate unit-specific programs and initiatives to improve patient outcomes and staff satisfaction.
Manage daily operations of the unit, including staff scheduling, resource allocation, budgeting, and performance monitoring.
Recruit, onboard, mentor, and coach nurses to their full potential, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
Champion a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous quality improvement within the unit.
Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate effectively with physicians, other departments, and administrative staff to optimize patient care delivery.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff, providing clear and timely information.
Stay updated on current trends and best practices in Med-Surg nursing.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required, Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a registered nurse (RN), with at least 2 years of experience in a leadership role within Med-Surg nursing.
Demonstrated clinical expertise and knowledge of evidence-based practice.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, ability to motivate and inspire a team.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills.
Budgetary and financial management experience preferred.
Experience with performance improvement methodologies a plus.
Certification in Medical-Surgical Nursing (CMSRN) a plus.
