Nurse Manager
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Manager to oversee acute dialysis services in a hospital setting. This role involves patient care management, coordination with nephrologists, and adherence to dialysis protocols to ensure high-quality treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and oversee acute hospital dialysis treatments, prioritizing patients as needed (ICU, ER, floor).
- Maintain clear communication with nephrologists regarding patient updates and treatment plans.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all dialysis procedures in medical records.
- Respond to acute dialysis calls within 4 hours, following hospital protocols.
- Monitor dialysis equipment, troubleshoot alarms, and follow operator guidelines.
- Provide medication administration, blood product management, and laboratory services per hospital policy.
- Adhere to universal precautions and aseptic techniques in all procedures.
- Coordinate staff scheduling, ensuring coverage for patient dialysis needs.
- Participate in unit meetings, compliance procedures, and professional development initiatives
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current RN license in California.
- Minimum 3 months of dialysis experience (critical care or acute dialysis preferred).
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate dialysis equipment as needed.
Schedule & Work Conditions:
- Full-time position, covering three dialysis patients per scheduled shift.
- Flexible shifts from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, with on-call responsibilities
- No multiple dialysis treatments simultaneously-patient focus is prioritized.
- Standby shifts may involve clinic support, staff training, or dialysis unit maintenance
