Nurse Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Manager to oversee acute dialysis services in a hospital setting. This role involves patient care management, coordination with nephrologists, and adherence to dialysis protocols to ensure high-quality treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and oversee acute hospital dialysis treatments, prioritizing patients as needed (ICU, ER, floor).
  • Maintain clear communication with nephrologists regarding patient updates and treatment plans.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of all dialysis procedures in medical records.
  • Respond to acute dialysis calls within 4 hours, following hospital protocols.
  • Monitor dialysis equipment, troubleshoot alarms, and follow operator guidelines.
  • Provide medication administration, blood product management, and laboratory services per hospital policy.
  • Adhere to universal precautions and aseptic techniques in all procedures.
  • Coordinate staff scheduling, ensuring coverage for patient dialysis needs.
  • Participate in unit meetings, compliance procedures, and professional development initiatives

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current RN license in California.
  • Minimum 3 months of dialysis experience (critical care or acute dialysis preferred).
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate dialysis equipment as needed.

Schedule & Work Conditions:

  • Full-time position, covering three dialysis patients per scheduled shift.
  • Flexible shifts from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, with on-call responsibilities
  • No multiple dialysis treatments simultaneously-patient focus is prioritized.
  • Standby shifts may involve clinic support, staff training, or dialysis unit maintenance
