This recently remodeled 200+ bed facility offers a wide array of services for the population of the Central Valley. The Acute Rehabilitation Nursing Manager will join a facility that works closely with one of the area's prominent medical centers, a medical center that has been named one of the 100 Great Hospitals in America and is high performing for Joint / Orthopedics, Cardiology, Neurology, and Diabetes.
Reporting to the Administrative Nurse Director of Patient Care Services, the Nursing Manager of Acute Rehabilitation will oversee complex short and long-term patient care operations. Supporting the Manager in this is an outstanding CRRN Certified Nursing Supervisor and two Rehab Charge RNs. The Manager will oversee around 30 RNs, LVNs, Social Workers, and Patient Care Technicians throughout this unit.
Staffing the Rehabilitation Department is an amazing team of Nurses, LVNs, Physicians, and Nurse Practitioners. The primary patient population here are short-term rehabilitation patients receiving care for high-acuity cardiac, multiple trauma, orthopedics, and neurology. This means that it will critical that the incoming Acute Rehabilitation Nursing Manager have inpatient hospital Nurse Leadership experience - preferably in Rehab.
The Acute Rehabilitation Nursing Manager will take responsibly for clinical and operational oversight of a large, compassionate nursing team. The Manager will:
- develop, implement, and maintain Nursing Policies and Procedures, coordinating updates as needed and serving as the facility's subject matter expert.
- collaborate with leaders throughout the region and the health system do develop operational synergies in care transitions.
- serve as a clinical mentor and leader for nursing staff, promoting shared governance, supporting patient / client dignity and satisfaction, and fostering educational growth
