Job Summary:
The Nursing Administrator plays a key leadership role by providing guidance, consultation, and support for patient service areas during designated shifts. Acting as a liaison for the administrator on-call and the Nursing Management team, this position ensures administrative continuity for staff, patients, families, and visitors. The Nursing Administrator maintains smooth operations while upholding high standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and support to patient service areas, ensuring smooth operations during shifts.
  • Act as the primary liaison between staff, patients, families, visitors, and the Nursing Management team.
  • Maintain administrative continuity and address issues or concerns as they arise.
  • Ensure adherence to hospital policies and procedures, delivering a high standard of patient care.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and management to resolve patient care issues and operational challenges.
Qualifications:

Education:
  • Graduate of one of the following:
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program
    • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program
    • Nursing Diploma program
Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years clinical RN experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years supervisory or management experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Completion of initial and ongoing training as defined by the service line, facility, and department/unit based on patient population needs.
Preferred:
  • Master's degree in Nursing or a related field is preferred.
Licenses and Certifications:
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice professional nursing in Texas.
