Person Specification:
NVQ level 3 Childcare qualification
Experience of working with children under 5 years of age
Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Desirable)
Paediatric First Aid (Desirable)
Some of the responsibilities of Nursery Nurse include:
- Working as a key worker, observing children, recording their learning and development
- Setting up age appropriate activities and following EYFS Curriculum
- Supporting children at meal times and with personal care
- Building positive relationships with parents and key interfacing groups
- Promoting equal opportunity
- Participating in nursery events i.e. trips, fun days
- Working in partnership with parents and key interfacing groups
- Working to nursery policy and procedures
- Attending staff meetings and training as required
