The Nurse Wound Ostomy will report directly to the Nurse Manager of the Wound Care Unit. This position involves working closely with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

As a Nurse Wound Ostomy, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized care for patients with wounds and ostomies. You will provide education and support to patients and their families about wound care, ostomy management, and prevention of complications. Collaborating with the healthcare team, you will develop and implement wound care plans, document patient care accurately, and maintain detailed records. You will also participate in wound care rounds, conduct wound assessments, and utilize evidence-based practices to promote optimal healing. Maintaining a safe and clean environment in the Wound Care Unit and staying current with best practices in wound care and ostomy management are also key responsibilities.
The Nurse Wound Ostomy will have a Registered Nurse (RN) license and strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team are essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to educate and support patients and their families, are also important for this role.
