The Medical Surgical Charge Nurse will report to the nurse manager with responsibilities that include collaborating with nurse manager on interviews, supporting clinical rotations of students, serving as a role model and resource for staff, coordinating staff assignments, assisting with scheduling and payroll, providing direct patient care as needed to support unit, participating in creation of nursing and organizational policies, and participating in staff involvement in nursing research, quality improvement, and evidence-based practices. Individuals earning quick interviews will have their BSN and clinical experience within a medical surgical unit.
