Cornerstone Healthcare is seeking experienced and passionate Registered Nurses to join our award-winning team at The Burren. The Burren is a new, purpose-built facility in South Bristol, providing high-quality care and support for residents with complex neurological, mental health, and dementia needs in a safe and comfortable environment.

Our approach emphasizes individualized care, focusing on the whole person's strengths and challenges rather than just the diagnosis.

What do you need?

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Registered Nurse in the UK with a valid NMC pin
  • At least 2 years' experience with complex dementia, neurodegenerative conditions, or brain injury conditions
  • Experience working with adults presenting complex needs, including challenging behaviors and mental health issues
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, forming positive relationships with colleagues, residents, and families
  • A caring, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting residents, families, and visitors
  • Effective communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Experience working within CQC standards, regulatory frameworks, and industry best practices

What hours will you work?

  • Week A: 3 shifts
  • Week B: 4 shifts
  • Total average hours per week: 40.25
  • Days & Nights shifts required

What will you be doing?

  • Organising and delegating workload to ensure effective delivery of resident care by skilled staff
  • Developing professional relationships with residents and their families, encouraging involvement in care planning, discharge planning, and activities
  • Assessing, planning, and evaluating care needs
  • Monitoring and supporting care provided by Healthcare Assistants and Senior Healthcare Assistants
  • Participating in clinical meetings and reporting concerns to managers
  • Maintaining comprehensive documentation
  • Respecting residents' and staff's confidentiality, dignity, and privacy
