Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will practice medicine in the Cancer Center Hematology/Oncology practice with the supervision of a licensed physician. Consistent with NYS law they will evaluate, diagnose, formulate and implement treatment plans, educate and counsel patients and families, prescribe, assist with surgical procedures and perform other responsibilities within the scope of practice of and as delegated by the supervising physician. The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will be a committed member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team and will maintain professional competencies while providing high quality, patient centered care consistent with the mission, vision and values of Auburn Community Hospital.

NYS license and registration as a Physician Assistant required. National Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). If not currently certified through NCCPA, will be required to obtain within six months of employment. Previous practitioner clinical experience and prior experience in Oncology preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $58.75 - $78.06 per hour
