About the company

Recover is a startup working to make mental health and addiction treatment more effective, accessible, and affordable. We work with governments to use data-backed treatment to improve outcomes for people who need treatment. We are working to make sure low-income Americans have access to best-in-class treatment.

Our program provides clinically-based treatment to people with mental health and substance use challenges. We use a harm reduction approach to treatment, and are focused on serving marginalized and underserved communities.

Our team includes people from Yale Law, UCLA School of Medicine, Harvard Medical School, and White House alums.

The opportunity

As a full-time MAT Clinician (PA or NP), you'll work directly with our Medical Director to treat patients struggling with substance use disorders and mild-moderate severity psychiatric disorders. You will be responsible for intakes, follow-ups, developing individualized assessment and plans, medication management, communicating with patients in between appointments for urgent needs, and timely documentation.

You'll have the opportunity to shape our clinical efforts and collaborate regularly with the rest of the treatment team consisting of the medical director, therapists, and case managers to provide comprehensive treatment plans for patients. This position is best suited for someone who is comfortable working independently, will take ownership of patient care, and who works well in a collaborative team environment.

This role is full time and based in the Modesto area. You will report directly to Recover's Medical Director, Daniel Duel for supervision and support. Salary is competitive, and the position includes benefits. Role is 40 hours / week across 5 days.

Need to have:

  • Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • 2+ years of experience

Nice to have:

  • Experience treating substance use disorder

Culture:

  • Do no harm: We are dedicated to helping all patients, without exception or compromise. If we do not think we can help, we will do our best to find someone who can.
  • Remember the mission: Patients come first - always.
  • Work together: Mental health and addiction affect people in every aspect of their life. We need to serve them accordingly.
  • Everyone matters: We believe that best-in-class treatment should be available to everyone regardless of geography, history, or income and are working to make that belief a reality.
  • Follow the data: Recover is an evidence-based program. We are constantly tracking and incorporating the latest research and using data to improve our programs. Mental health and addiction are medical problems, not moral ones, and we treat them as such.
  • Prioritize progress: We meet our patients where they are. Everyone's recovery is different, and we are here to help, regardless of where they are on that journey.
