M-F Urgent care backup, but will occasionally float to support primary care clinics during extended absences.
NURSE PRACTITIONER
DESCRIPTION:
The Nurse Practitioner has special knowledge and skills in health maintenance, disease prevention, psychosocial physical assessment and management of health-illness needs in the specialty listed or primary care of the family.
EDUCATION:
Must be a graduate of an accredited program of nursing. Must have successfully completed additional theoretical and clinical education through an accredited graduate level family nurse practitioner program.
REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS (IF APPLICABLE):
Must maintain current Oklahoma licensure as a registered nurse (RN) and as an advanced registered nurse practitioner (ARNP). Must maintain current certification as a family nurse practitioner through American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience as a family nurse practitioner is preferred but not required.
PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT
DEFINITION:
The Physician Assistant is a health care professional, qualified by academic and clinical
education, and licensed by the State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision, who provides
health care services in a variety of patient care settings under the direction and supervision of a
physician. Patients cared for are infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric.
EDUCATION:
Must be a graduate of a physician assistant program approved by the American Medical
Association.
REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS (IF APPLICABLE):
Must be a licensed as a P.A. by the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and
Supervision.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a minimum of one (1) year practical experience in a primary care setting.
