The Physicians' Clinic of Iowa is seeking a full or part time NURSE PRACTIONER or PHYSICIANS ASSISTANT-CERTIFIED to join is growing Department of ENT. This is an opportunity to join a team of experienced physicians and staff dedicated to providing high quality care to our patients.

The individual will see general ENT (Otolaryngology) patients as well as receive training and supervision in general ENT in order to help us provide specialty care. Goals for the individual will be to provide initial evaluations on non-surgical patients, provide follow up and postoperative care in conjunction with our board certified physicians. The position will include minor in-office procedures.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform medical examinations and evaluations, diagnose, provide treatment, follow-up and patient education.
Obtain patient histories, develop and complete patient assessment and documentation with completeness and accuracy.
Provide health education to patients and families and communicate to community health practitioners and referring physicians.
Practice safety, environmental, and/ or infection control methods.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

Current licensure and/or credentials as an active PA-C or ARNP in good standing is required. Prefer six months to one year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified above. Must be patient focused.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

Knowledge of electronic medical record patient care charts and patient histories.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies.
Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements.
Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures
Knowledge of current principles, methods and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis and treatment in area of expertise.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Must be credentialed per PCI policies and procedures if billing for services under Medicare/Medicaid.
CPR Certified or must obtain within six months of employment.
