Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant for Spine and Pain Care - Independent Practice
Are you a Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant passionate about comprehensive, patient-centered care for individuals managing spinal disorders and chronic pain? Our pain management practice in Napa, CA is the region's most established and successful practice. We are seeking a skilled PA or NP to join our team, committed to delivering evidence-based treatment, participating in clinical research and performing minimally invasive procedures.
What You'll Do:
- Conduct thorough pain assessments and develop individualized treatment plans, including interventional procedures
- Perform certain musculoskeletal injections after a thorough training period
- Manage patients with implanted devices and refill spinal infusion pumps placed for pain and spasticity
- See patients at Neurovations Clinical Research, studying new medications for pain and neurologic disease
- Manage a diverse patient population with various chronic pain conditions, including cancer pain and end-of-life care
- Provide medication management, including opioid prescribing, with strict adherence to conservative guidelines
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, psychologists, and specialists
- Educate patients on pain management strategies, including lifestyle modifications and non-pharmacological interventions
- Treat patients with depression in our TMS treatment center
- Participation in our Annual Kauai Pain Conference
Qualifications:
- Current California license or license-eligible
- Compassion and curiosity with a strong understanding of spine anatomy, pain physiology and treatment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting patient relationships and team confidence
- Commitment to ethical practice and adherence to best clinical practices
