NURSE MANAGER Interventional Radiology Miami Valley Hospital Full-Time 8am - 4:30pm / 80 Hours per Pay The Nurse Manager of Interventional Radiology is responsible for providing overall leadership, direction, strategic planning, staffing, and coordination for the assigned clinical areas within the IR section of the Imaging Services. Also oversees the performance improvement and education coordinator and activities of the Imaging Services Department. These activities are performed in concert with the organization's mission, vision, values, goals, and objectives. This position reports to the Director of Imaging Services and works collaboratively with other members of the Medical Imaging management team, nursing administration, anesthesia providers, physicians, hospital administration, and PHP-system administration. This position is responsible for establishing the systems and structures to support the seamless delivery of quality patient care, performance and educational activities to increase employee, patient, and physician satisfaction and environment of care. The Nurse Manager is accountable for formulating and administering policies, plans, budgets, and programs areas of responsibility. This position is responsible for monitoring the effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the Interventional Radiology section and the Imaging Services Department. This position also has an indirect reporting relationship to Department of Nursing. Education: Bachelor of Science degree in nursing or health related program. Licensure: Valid Ohio state licensure in Nursing Certification: CPR Preferred Experience: Minimum 3 years clinical nursing experience in surgical and/or procedural operations preferred. A minimum of two years progressive leadership experience is preferred. Skills/Other: Other demonstrated skills necessary for this position include expertise in communication across disciplines, change management, managing group dynamics, and inventory management and performance improvement processes.
