Position Summary
The Nurse Manager (NM) plays a vital leadership role in ensuring the highest quality of care for patients and families throughout their hospital journey. Reporting directly to the Director of Medical-Surgical Services or Critical Care Services, the NM oversees daily operations of assigned nursing unit(s) and serves as a key decision-maker in patient care delivery and staff development.
This role requires strong critical thinking skills, a proactive and resourceful mindset, and the ability to lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams. The NM fosters a culture of excellence, accountability, and collaboration, while driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency. As a change leader, the NM also ensures compliance with hospital policies and supports the implementation of new initiatives.

Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required
- Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field strongly preferred
Licensure & Certification:
- Active RN license in the State of Florida
- BLS and ACLS certification preferred
- National professional certification (e.g., CMSRN, NE-BC) preferred
Experience & Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience required
- Previous management or leadership experience strongly preferred
- Experience in Medical-Surgical and Orthopedic nursing highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and motivate clinical teams
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
