The Medical Surgical Med Surg Nurse Manager will work under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer CNO to provide, delegate, and coordinate nursing care provided for the Medical Surgical departments at the hospital. The Medical Surgical Med Surg Nurse Manager provides supervisory direction for the development and evaluation of all nursing personnel, while maintaining operational aspects of the patient care unit in collaboration with support services.
The Medical Surgical Med Surg Clinical Nurse Manager will contribute to nursing and the hospital through support of philosophy and objectives, educational and research efforts. The Nurse Manager of Medical Surgical Med Surg Department will be the front line supervisor for assigning, building and directing teams to provide care to the patients assigned.
The Nurse Manager of Medical Surgical Med Surg will collaborate with the nursing staff to meet the National Patient Safety Goals and Core Measure Initiatives especially those specific to Critical Care and Medical Surgical departments. The Nurse Manager of Medical Surgical Med Surg will be proactive in identifying needs of staff and resolves issues to improve patient care and supports nursing leadership directives and initiatives.
