An exciting opportunity awaits a Nurse Manager Labor and Delivery in a pivotal leadership role. The RN Manager Labor and Deliver will oversee nursing care provided during pregnancy, delivery, and the postpartum period. The Labor and Delivery Nurse Manager will report to the Women's Services Director of Nursing. This role is supported by a dedicated team of 8+ FTEs overseeing 5+ birthing suits within the Labor and Delivery unit. Collaboration with obstetricians, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals is vital to ensure seamless care delivery and optimal patient outcomes. The Labor and Delivery unit provides high-level care to women throughout the stages of labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. The unit is fast-paced, collaborative, and focused on delivering exceptional care to mothers and infants. Staff work closely with a team of medical professionals, including highly skilled obstetricians and pediatricians, in a professional, patient-focused environment that cares for over 200 births per year. The Nurse Manager Labor and Delivery will also be responsible for overseeing clinical operations, such as educational development, nursing competency assessments, and ensuring clinical quality improvement initiatives are met. Administratively, this role involves managing budgets, staffing, and daily operations, alongside fostering strong physician relationships and supporting hospital-wide strategic goals.
