Overview Responsible for the medical management of the detoxification of each client in the unit or program. Provides treatment care with respect for human dignity and uniqueness of the client regardless of economic or social class, personal attributes or the nature of health problems. This position will pay $32.00/hr Responsibilities Complete screening for admission, assessments, urine screens, CINA and CIWA assessments. Adequately manage clients' medical problems, dispense medications according to physician's order. Administration of necessary/appropriate medically assisted treatment pharmaceuticals. Specifically Vivitrol and other medication at the direction of The Salvation Army, Medical Directors, Program Manager or Executive Director. Display competence and understanding of aspects of addiction. Communicate pertinent issues or concerns to Medical Coordinator or ADAS Manager, work with other program staff to provide highest level of coordinate care possible to each client. Facilitate shift change. Safeguard clients right to confidentiality at all times. Assumes responsibility and accountability for individual nursing judgments and actions. Provide nursing care with respect Other duties as requested by the Manager of Substance Abuse and/or Executive Director. Qualifications Current Nursing License in the State of Ohio - RN preferred LPN acceptable. Must be able to routinely lift and carry boxes weighing 25 pounds or more. Must be able to use stairs, when necessary, for building evacuations, drills or during elevator maintenance. Ability to demonstrate satisfactory communication - both written and verbal skills. Previous Substance Abuse Nursing experience needed.
