A large Southern California Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Director Perioperative Services to join their 200 bed acute care facility.
This 200 bed Medical Center is part of a large Medical Group with Hospitals throughout the region. The Nurse Director Perioperative Services will report to the Chief Nursing Office and will oversee a team of managers, charge nurses, nurse supervisor's, educators and staff nurses. The department has well over 140 full time employees and is one of the largest groups in the medical center.
The Nurse Director Perioperative Services will be responsible for the 24-hour supervision of this growing department. The Nurse Director Perioperative Services will be accountable to assure that HCAHPS, patient, employee, and physician satisfaction scores are in highest in the region. The Nurse Director Perioperative Services will be accountable as a front-line supervisor for assuring all nursing staff is following the National Patient Safety Goals, Core Measure Initiatives and practice standards.
The Nurse Director Perioperative Services oversees budgets for the complete scope of surgical services and is responsible for training, evaluating and supervising staff. The Nurse Director Perioperative Services will have 4 supporting managers, Operating Room Manager, PACU Nurse Manager, Ambulatory Surgery Center Nurse Manager and Manager of Sterile Processing.
