Nurse Coordinator

Summary: A Nurse Coordinator oversees and coordinates patient care activities within a healthcare facility. This role involves developing and maintaining care plans, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and collaborating with healthcare teams to provide high-quality patient care. The nurse coordinator also monitors patient progress, manages patient flow, and addresses any issues that arise. Overseeing Nursing Activities: Manage and coordinate the activities of nursing staff to ensure efficient patient care Developing Care Plans: Create and maintain individualized care plans for patients based on their specific needs Ensuring Compliance: Ensure that nursing practices comply with healthcare regulations and organizational policies Monitoring Patient Progress: Regularly assess and document patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary Collaborating with Healthcare Teams: Work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care Managing Schedules: Organize and manage nursing staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage Providing Education and Support: Educate patients and their families about health conditions and care plans Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety. Qualifications: Education/Experience: A valid unencumbered RN/LPN license from an accredited institution. 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience, often in a supervisory or leadership role Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Additional certifications in nursing management or a related specialty can be beneficial Passing the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-LPN, NCLEX-RN)
