We are searching for a Nurse Coordinator with the Outpatient Pulmonary Clinic- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will support excellence in clinical practice and the care of patients in accordance with their developmental stages. You will coordinate the daily operations of the service by assisting the physicians, promoting the development of other nurse professionals, demonstrating clinical expertise and implementation of the Department's philosophy and standards of nursing practice. You will also be responsible for the coordination of care for the patient and family as they move across the continuum.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in nursing Or Associates Degree in nursing with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and signed agreement Or Technical diploma in nursing with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and signed agreement Or Must be currently enrolled in a nursing bridge program working toward an MSN.
  • RN - Lic-Registered Nurses Texas Board of Nursing or Nursing Licensure Compact Required
  • BLS - Cert-Basic Life Support American Heart Association Required
  • 3 year's Experience in Nursing Required
Responsibilities
  • Assesses patients with input from the parent/family
  • Completes nursing assessment of the patient/family including biological, psychological, age appropriate developmental, environmental, cultural and spiritual needs in an organized manner
  • Coordinates patient care by involving patient/family in the planning, implementation and
    evaluation of patient care
  • Evaluates and documents patient and family responses to care provided. Identifies changes and abnormal findings in a timely manner. Ensures patient's progress toward meeting desired outcomes
  • Maintains accountability for supporting team work by demonstrating commitment, initiative,
    flexibility, professional and interpersonal communication, critical thinking, and customer service skills
  • Maintains accountability for coordinating activities in the unit or department
  • Acts as a liaison between the department and other institutions
