Job Description


We are looking for a Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care and assist with medical tasks in a healthcare setting. This position will be a full-time contract and onsite.



What You'll Do

  • Assist with activities of daily living, such as personal hygiene, mobility, and nutrition

  • Document resident information factually and objectively within the required time frame

  • Observe and report resident concerns or needs accurately

  • Maintain professional conduct, including punctuality and a professional appearance

  • Attend a full two-week orientation, working Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm



What You'll Need


Required:

  • Certification as a Nursing Assistant: Must be a certified CNA, as the role involves direct patient care and assistance with medical tasks

  • Ability to Work Long Shifts: Candidates should be prepared to work 16-hour shifts as needed

  • Basic Skills in Resident Care: Competence in assisting with activities of daily living, such as personal hygiene, mobility, and nutrition

  • Documentation Skills: Ability to document information factually and objectively within the required time frame

  • Observational Skills: Ability to observe and report resident concerns or needs accurately

  • Professionalism: Commitment to professional conduct, including punctuality and maintaining a professional appearance


Preferred:

  • Experience in Psychiatric Care: Prior experience working in a psychiatric facility, particularly one that involves forensic patients, would be beneficial

  • Security Protocol Familiarity: Familiarity with security protocols, such as dealing with metal detectors and security guards, especially given the forensic ward's environment

  • Stress Management Skills: Ability to handle stressful environments and situations effectively, given the nature of the work and the patient population

  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to interact with patients, families, and medical staff efficiently

  • Team Collaboration: Experience working collaboratively in a healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care



Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
