POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides clinic management and supervision of personnel in the Juvenile Detention Center (JDC) and Cyndi Taylor Krier (CTK) Bexar County Probation facilities as assigned by the Director of Operations. Ensures efficient, appropriate, and therapeutic healthcare is administered to clinic patients while also ensuring that established security requirements are maintained as defined by the Bexar County Juvenile Probation Office. Supports and adheres to University Health (UH) and Detention Health Care Services (DHCS)-Juvenile policies and procedures. Demonstrates behaviors consistent with UH's mission, vision, and values. Promotes excellent internal and external customer relations.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
A bachelor's degree in nursing is required (Magnet). Must have at least three years of clinical or hospital nursing with two years of supervisory experience in nursing. Correctional health, pediatric, and psychiatric experience is preferred.
LICENSE /CERTIFICATION
Must possess a current license to practice registered nursing in the State of Texas. Certification in Correctional Health Care is preferred. Certification in a specialty area is preferred. Must maintain current CPR certification.
