Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite with our client in Grand Prairie, TX. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:
  • Create programs for numerically controlled machines using engineering drawings and models
  • Analyze engineering drawings and determine the appropriate machine, machining strategy, cutting tools and parameters, and work holding
  • Support shop floor by troubleshooting issues
  • Identify opportunities to improve current processes
  • Provide time estimates for upcoming new parts
  • Research, test and implement new machining technology, cutters and equipment

Hours: 4/10A-1st Shift

Job Requirements

Required Skills:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 9 years of machining/NC programming experience using a CAM package.
  • Minimum 9 years of process improvement and problem solving experience
  • Minimum 9 years of cutting tools and good machining experience.
  • Minimum 6 years of Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) programming experience.
Preferred Skills:
  • Associates Degree.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience programming 3-5 axis mills and mill turn machines for a variety of materials.
  • Experience with Siemens NX and Vericut software.
  • Experience using Mazak Brand tools.
  • Experience evaluating new designs and working with engineering to improve part machinability.
  • Experience leading the development and implementation of new tools and processes.
  • Ability to design fixturing/workholding solutions.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
