The Nuclear Medicine Technologist provides leadership in performing diagnostics and theranostics nuclear medicine procedures. Responsibilities include preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, operating imaging equipment, and collaborating closely with physicians and clinic staff to ensure top-notch patient care. Additionally, this position will mentor and train other team members on best practices in imaging and radiopharmaceutical policies and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES


• Conduct advanced nuclear medicine imaging procedures (SPECT-CT and PET-CT) and theranostics treatments.


• Mentor and train staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the continuous development of skills and knowledge within the department.


• Diligently prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals following established protocols.


• Ensure accurate radioactive measurements, safe disposal practices, and meticulous care throughout the process.


• Assist with policies and procedure implementation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.


• Collaborate with physicians and clinic staff to plan and execute personalized theranostics care plans for patients.


• Work alongside physicians to develop intricate imaging protocols.


• Oversee the maintenance and quality control of imaging equipment, ensuring optimal performance and image quality and troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.


• Develop and implement protocols for new imaging technologies.


• Serve as a direct point of contact for complex patient cases.


• Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring accuracy and reliability.


• Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures, providing clear instructions and addressing any concerns.


• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, adhering to regulatory and clinic standards.


• Stay informed about advancements in nuclear medicine technology and participate in continuous education to enhance skills and knowledge.


• Proactively conduct safety inspections and take corrective action to address issues.

• Ensures compliance with rules, regulations and orders of the state Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services including requirements of the administrative code and any conditions specified in the Radioactive Materials License.

EDUCTION & EXPEREINCE


• Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).


• State licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.


• 8+ years' experience in a nuclear medicine setting, with leadership experience


• Board certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology


• Proven track records of implementing successful Quality Assurance programs.


• In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance in nuclear medicine


• Demonstrated ability to contribute to the strategic develop of the clinic


• Strong understanding of personalized theranostics and its applications.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.


• Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
