Position Overview: New Product Introduction Technician is responsible for ensuring that new products are 100% ready for production to build. Reading and understanding customer documentation, completing first article builds, associated checklists, and creation of accurate concise documents are key requirements of this position. Ability to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment, internal sense of urgency and drive to succeed are required skills NPI Technician Accountabilities: Process: Read and understand customer documentation to determine which materials are needed and the most efficient assembly sequence Create internal assembly documentation during first piece build Adhere to company and documentation control guidelines Apply problem solving techniques identifying potential solutions to process and build documentation Set up, operate, and maintain equipment and tools in accordance with written and verbal instructions Report deficiencies or repair needs to supervisor Maintain or exceed acceptable productivity levels while maintaining quality Complete paperwork and computer transactions in the system in a timely manner Work on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations Create and maintain assembly documentation, including correcting internal errors, and processing ECN changes Maintained a clean work area using 5's guidelines Customer Satisfaction: Verify products must meet or exceed customer requirements Service internal requests in a timely and professional manner Administration: Keep in line with company's accredited certifications and safety policy Position Qualifications: Minimum Education: High School Diploma Minimum Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in a similar position, or a combination of experience and education Other Skills/Knowledge/Experience: Must communicate professionally (written and verbal) Familiar with industry standards Ability to document both internal and external customer controls Computer Skills: Basic Word for Windows skills as evidenced by the ability to produce basic business letters and simple tables and charts; as well as check spelling, set tabs, change page orientation, sort, save, open and organize electronic files. Basic Excel skills as evidenced by the ability to use workbooks, create simple formulas, insert and delete data, create and edit charts, filter and sort lists, and format data. Basic Microsoft PowerPoint skills as evidenced by the ability to create and save a presentation, add titles, edit and delete slides, reordering slides, applying slide masters, checking spelling, and adding clip art.
