Seeking a Physician Assistant Float in La Palma, CA.
Full-time
Monday - Friday (8a-5p)
No call, no nights, no weekend
Responsibilities
Spend 100% of your time in the center, providing direct patient care and setting the tone for exceptional patient experience
Collaborate with therapists and specialists to ensure optimal outcomes and timely case closures
Monitor clinical metrics (e.g., Practice Indicators, LOS, TAT, Specialist Referral Rate) to ensure quality and efficiency
Manage and support clinicians and staff while meeting APC supervisory requirements
Foster a collaborative, team-oriented environment that promotes quality care, safety, and strong clinical outcomes
Partner with the Director of Medical Operations (DMO) to implement continuous improvement initiatives
Master clinical systems to ensure: Efficient workflows, High-quality documentation, Accurate coding and billing, and Order follow-through
Ensure compliance with State Practice Acts, Workers Compensation regulations, and internal policies
Communicate regularly with employers about new injuries and significant clinical developments
Actively participate in Center Leadership Team (CLT) meetings to support clinical quality and operational growth
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and payers, responding to inquiries within 24 hours
Optimize staffing levels and team performance in partnership with the DMO and CLT
Support professional development and career growth for clinicians and support staff
Champion a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and excellence in care
Qualifications
Active, unrestricted licensure as a Physician Assistant in the state of practice
Graduate of an accredited PA program
Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in primary care and/or occupational medicine
Job-Related Skills & Competencies
Proficiency in: Basic suturing and laceration repair and Basic X-ray interpretation
Comfort treating pediatric patients ages 2 and older
Demonstrated alignment with Core Competencies: Service Mentality, Attention to Detail, Sense of Urgency, Initiative, and Flexibility
Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills
Strong customer service orientation with professional and tactful interpersonal skills
Ability to handle sensitive information in compliance with HIPAA and PHI regulations
Knowledge of:
Occupational medicine (state-specific requirements)
Clinical operations and rehabilitation service delivery
Workers compensation practices and quality care protocols
Exceptional communication and leadership abilities
