Neurosurgery APP (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) opening in MI
Located in Southwest Michigan
Full Time Position

An exciting opportunity is available for an APP (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) to join an established Neurosurgery Division in Southwest Michigan. This full-time position will support both Kalamazoo and Battle Creek locations, offering a diverse mix of inpatient rounding, outpatient clinic, and surgical assisting responsibilities. No required night call coverage and a team-focused environment make this a unique and rewarding opportunity.

Position Overview:
Work alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care for neurosurgical and neuroendovascular patients
Conduct patient evaluations, review treatment plans, and assist with both inpatient and outpatient care
Perform physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and educate patients and families on care plans
Assist surgeons in the operating room on spinal and cranial procedures
Participate in rotating weekend inpatient rounding coverage

Qualifications:
1 2 years of experience as an APP preferred (experience in neurosurgery, other surgical specialties, or neurology is a plus)
Ability to work independently, make strong clinical decisions, and effectively communicate with patients and caregivers
Experience with Epic EMR is preferred
Graduate of an accredited PA/NP program with an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Michigan
Ability to assist in the operating room as a first assist during surgeries
Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for providing compassionate, evidence-based care
