Responsibilities

Excellent opportunity for an experienced neonatal nurse practitioner to join our dedicated group of eight neonatologists and team of NNPs providing high-quality care at the Carilion Clinic Children's Hospital (CCCH) in scenic Roanoke, Virginia. New graduates will be considered, only if willing to relocate.


  • The hospital is a designated regional perinatal center with 3,300 deliveries annually.
  • Our 60-bed Level-IIIB NICU has 700 admissions annually and an average daily census of 47 babies. Services provided include high frequency ventilation and nitric oxide.
  • There are two maternal-fetal medicine specialists on staff and the hospital offers a full range of pediatric medical and surgical subspecialties.
  • As one of our NNPs, you will provide in-house coverage caring for critically ill neonates and attend high-risk deliveries.
  • NNP's take ownership of their own team of patients (up to 20) with all acuity levels.
  • The shifts are 24 hours with an occasional 12-hour shift available.

  • Current APRN national specialty certification
  • Minimum of a master's degree
