Cardiology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) needed in TN

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including history and physical exams, in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
Order, interpret, and manage diagnostic tests such as EKGs, echocardiograms, and cardiac stress tests.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions.
Prescribe medications and treatments as appropriate within the APP's scope of practice.
Assist in managing patients with heart failure, coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary cardiology team to provide coordinated patient care.
Assist in procedures such as stress testing, catheterizations, or other interventional procedures, if applicable.
Provide patient education on cardiovascular risk factors, lifestyle modifications, and medication management.
Participate in hospital rounds, monitor patient progress, and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Maintain accurate and timely patient records using electronic health records (EHR).
Engage in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities related to cardiology.
Qualifications:
Education:
Master s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
Licensure/Certification:
Active licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in Tennessee.
National certification in Family, Adult, Acute Care, or Cardiology (preferred).
Current BLS and ACLS certification.
Experience:
Prior experience in cardiology preferred.
Experience with EHR systems.
Skills:
Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and patient education abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Work Environment:
Outpatient and/or inpatient clinical setting.
Occasional participation in on-call rotations may be required.
