As a Cook, you are essential in providing our guests with memorable experiences by serving high-quality dishes efficiently. Your tasks will include managing inventory, preparing and cooking meals, keeping the kitchen orderly, and upholding our food safety standards.

Key Duties Include:
  • Completing all training requirements such as:
    • Zaxbys Back of House Development Plan
    • Hands-on station training
    • Any additional training required by Zax LLC
  • Providing friendly and enthusiastic service for all guests
  • Staying updated on current promotions
  • Representing the Zaxbys brand energetically
  • Assisting with guest service and front-of-house operations
  • Preparing and cooking menu items according to company standards
  • Ensuring food safety and sanitation
  • Operating kitchen equipment safely
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of work areas
  • Managing inventory and storage
  • Receiving and stocking inventory deliveries
  • Other duties as assigned with a sense of urgency and care
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Ability to work 32 to 40 hours weekly
Physical Capabilities Required:
  • Continuous sitting, standing, and walking
  • Occasional stooping, bending, crouching, or climbing
  • Frequently lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds
  • Use of hands for grasping and fine manipulation
  • Proficient communication through speech, reading, and writing
  • Able to perceive and respond to the environment
  • Comfortable working with temperature variations and food allergens
  • Safely operating restaurant equipment, including knives and fryers
