As an NDT Inspector/Technician, you will play a crucial role in performing nondestructive testing on a variety of materials, parts, components, and assemblies. Your expertise in setting up equipment, conducting inspections, and accurately interpreting test data will be essential to maintaining our commitment to excellence. You will also contribute to the upkeep of our equipment and facility and have the opportunity to mentor and supervise NDT trainees.
Your Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive nondestructive testing, primarily Ultrasonic inspections, utilizing various techniques and methods to identify flaws and discontinuities.
- Thoroughly clean and prepare materials, parts, and components before inspection to ensure accurate results.
- Expertly set up, calibrate, and adjust NDT equipment, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to established procedures.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of inspection systems and supporting equipment to maximize uptime and reliability.
- Accurately interpret and meticulously document inspection results, generating clear and concise reports.
- Provide valuable technical support to Level III personnel, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the NDT department.
- Instruct, mentor, and/or supervise NDT trainees, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.
- Perform meticulous receiving and final inspections to verify the integrity of incoming and outgoing materials.
- Safely and efficiently pack, unpack, and handle parts for shipment, ensuring their protection and proper identification.
What You Need to Apply:
- Associate's degree (AAS) in Nondestructive Testing Technology.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to guide and motivate others.
- Documented formal training hours in relevant NDT methods.
- Current Ultrasonic Level II Certification in accordance with NAS-410.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in immersion ultrasonic inspection of rotating turbine engine or equivalent critical parts.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in data management and reporting software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical information and collaborate with team members.
- Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze issues and implement effective solutions.
- Solid mechanical aptitude with a strong understanding of equipment operation and maintenance.
