Summary:Delivers complete, accurate, and on-time deliveries to the company's customers. Represents the company in a highly professional, safe, and cost-effective manner that complies with DOT and other applicable regulations.
Job Duties:- Prepares truck for operation by assisting in and overseeing the loading of truck and securing of items and by verifying the accuracy of shipping papers
- Inspects truck tires, lights, brakes, fluids, etc., to ensure safe and cost-effective performance, with preventive maintenance in mind
- Delivers orders via the most effective route to ensure complete orders are delivered according to established timeframes and customers' needs
- Maintains communication with company during deliveries to ensure any updated instructions are received
- Documents delivery, accuracy, and receipt of orders by the customer according to company directives and reports any discrepancies to company
- Increases customer satisfaction by collecting information and feedback on service and resolving complaints per company policy; communicates information back to company
- Informs customers of new products and services that can increase customer satisfaction and sales
- Maintains and monitors truck maintenance and driving record requirements; maintains required documents for safety, security, and quality processes
- Updates job knowledge
- Safely operates forklifts and other warehouse equipment, as required
- Maintains a safe driving record free of violations
- Performs occasional warehouse and counter duties
- Maintains proficiency in computerized systems and other technologies, as required
- Follows company policies and procedures
- Performs other duties, as assigned
