NOC Watch Officer
Ashburn, VA 20147 Job Type: Full Time W2 (no 1099 or C2C)
Schedule: 4x10 shifts, 24x7x365 environment
Location: On-Site; Must reside within commuting area
Anakim Consulting has an immediate need for a Network Operation Center (NOC) Watch Officer to support a federal customer environment. Prior experience with Incident Management supporting large-scale network monitoring is required. EOD access is preferred.
Responsibilities include: - Provide incident management and network operations support for an Enterprise Operations Center (EOC)
- Support shift work and non-standard hours including nights and weekends
Position Requirements
Requirements include: - U.S. Citizenship (no dual citizenship)
- Eligibility to obtain government security access
- Bachelor of Science degree; additional 4 years of related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
- 3+ years of related experience supporting incident management in a NOC environment in the following areas:
- Experience with fault and performance monitoring and reporting tools (IBM Netcool Omnibus, AppDynamics, HP Operations Manager)
- Experience with incident management tools such as BMC Remedy
- Experience working in a large-scale, complex Manager of Manager (MoM) type monitoring environment
- 2+ years of experience supporting implementation, integration, testing, and support of distributed applications
- 3+ years of experience working with Service Management/ITIL framework and comprehensive understanding of related concepts such as incident, problem, change management, and root cause analysis
- 2+ years of demonstrated experience supporting troubleshooting and resolution
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Availability to support full on-site schedule
- Ability to support 4x10 shift work in a 24x7x365 environment
Preferred qualifications. - Current or recent Entry on Duty (EOD) access is preferred
