The Westgate Hotel + AquaVie is seeking a dedicated Night Auditor who is responsible for overseeing hotel operations during the overnight shift, balancing daily financial transactions, ensuring the accuracy of guest folios, and providing excellent guest service. This position blends customer service, front desk duties, and light accounting responsibilities.
Responsibilities: - Greet, check-in, and check-out guests during the overnight hours.
- Process all guest transactions including payments, charges, and refunds.
- Audit and balance daily financial reports, including room charges, food and beverage sales, and other hotel revenues.
- Reconcile front desk cash drawer and prepare deposit summaries.
- Generate and distribute required reports for management and departments.
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints.
- Ensure the safety and security of guests and the property during night hours.
- Perform end-of-day procedures in the Property Management System (PMS).
- Monitor reservations, cancellations, and no-shows; update records accordingly.
- Complete night shift checklist and ensure the lobby and front desk are tidy.
- Assist in preparing for the next day's operations.
- Communicate effectively with other shifts and departments.
Qualifications: - Previous hotel front desk or accounting experience preferred.
- Proficiency with hotel software (e.g., Opera, OnQ, or similar PMS).
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Basic math and accounting skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Willingness to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Demands: - Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Perform repetitive tasks such as typing or using a computer.
