Night Auditor General Responsibilities - Within a specified timeframe will run pre-audit and pre-end of day reports from POS software systems, including Opera, golf, Room Key, spa and sales.
- Verifies that all charges have been correctly posted and accounted for.
- Identifies any off line charges and inputs into the correct guest folio or account.
- Verifies payments and market code segments in guest folios including 3rd party.
- Makes appropriate adjustment/corrections.
- Performs final night audit procedures, prepares a summary of cash and credit card activities.
- Accurately enters audit report information into Excel daily flash spreadsheet.
- Reconciles any differences and reports to the Controller's Office out- of-balance discrepancies.
- Completes management reports for distribution along with Occupancy, Second Effort and Account Receivable Reconciliation.
- Performs duties of a front desk agent, especially in terms of check-in and checkout.
- Responds to guest needs, special request, and concerns.
- Documents guest reservations and communicates with the Front Office manager and shift change staff regarding events which occurred during the night.
- Prints up reservation for the next day arrivals in Room Key - vacation homes.
- Communicate current knowledge of local area, attractions and events to guests and team.
- Facilitate guest departures providing accurate statements and ensuring guest satisfaction and collecting all payments due.
- Perform emergency procedures in the event of fire, power outage or other disasters.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications Education: - High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: - Experience or coursework in accounting, hospitality or bookkeeping in preferred.
- Detailed oriented and is capable of understanding straight forward bookkeeping and accounting procedures.
- Proficient in Excel, knows how to operate hotel operating systems and other office equipment.
- A desire to deliver exceptional levels of Guest Service exhibiting effective communication skills.

FLSA Information Management Activities Discretion / Independent Judgment This position does represent the company in handling complaints, arbitrating disputes or resolving grievances. A Night Auditor will be expected to work with guests and visitors to ensure satisfaction. A Night Auditor will have to take initiative and get creative in resolving guest challenges and involve a supervisor only when previous methods have been unsuccessful.
