The Hyatt Place Lenexa City Center is currently looking for hardworking, energetic and passionate people to join our team in the role of Night Auditor. This is a Part Time opportunity, working the overnight shift from 11 PM to 7 AM on Friday's and Saturdays. The salary range for this position is $16.00 - $19.50 per hour based on previous work experience.

Job Summary:

The purpose of the Night Auditor is to accurately balance the hotel's operating transactions and prepare financial reports on a daily basis, and also to provide the utmost in service to our hotel guests and staff by accommodating their needs/requests while balancing the interests of the hotel, and by coordinating with other departments when necessary to maintain the standards set forth by Marriott and meet the high expectations of our guests and patrons.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Check guests in and out of the hotel and make future reservations when necessary

Post and rebate room, tax, and other miscellaneous charges to guest accounts

Administer hotel guest payment policies

Process credit card transactions and finalize those transactions completed during the day

Create and print required reports

Prepare folios for departing guests

Process GNS reservations

Responsible for knowing hotel emergency policies

Be able to handle hotel phone system, transfer calls, and take messages for guests and

hotel staff

Take, modify, and cancel guest reservations, inputting same into computer while noting any special requests

Clean the dining area and other lobby areas thoroughly each day

Answer guest questions regarding hotel and local area facilities and services

Maintain daily an accurate inventory of available rooms

Communicate hotel facilities and services to guests at check-in

Responsible for maintaining hotel key security system

Administer guest safe deposit boxes

Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of front desk and lobby area

Open and close shifts; make accurate cash drops

Ensure all credit cards, cash and change fund are balanced throughout the shift

Notify housekeeping and maintenance of any reported problems in guest rooms or on hotel grounds

Maintain an inventory of special guest service items such as rollaways, cribs, etc.

Work and communicate with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of the hotel

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED Preferred

Proven record of positive customer service experience

Previous Front Desk Experience Preferred

Previous Hotel Experience Preferred

Computer Proficiency

Pleasant Demeanor

Customer Service Driven

Strong Work Ethic

Must maintain professional image at all times

Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours daily

Must be able to lift up to 40lbs alone00 per pay period with our new Perfect Attendance Bonus.

This is a Full Time opportunity, working Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 pm to 8 am. Some additional shifts may be available as well. The salary range for this position is $15.00 - $19.50 based on previous work experience.
