Medix is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team at a community-focused drug treatment facility. WE ARE OPEN TO NEW GRADS.


Shift: Mon-Fri (5am-1:30pm)


Pay: $30.00/hr


Requirements:

  • Active and current California LVN license
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certification
  • Familiarity with controlled substance handling and documentation preferred but not required
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispense medications to approximately 80 patients per day, with the clinic averaging 115-120 patients daily
  • Support both daily dosing and take-home medication protocols based on patient treatment phase
  • Verify patient identity, check-in, and administer prescribed medication dosages
  • Evaluate patients for side effects or adverse reactions and report concerns to the Medical Director
  • Perform daily reconciliation of controlled substances as required by federal and state law
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient treatment records, dosage sheets, and urinalysis results
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and uphold security protocols at all times
  • Provide medication and documentation support for patients who are hospitalized
  • Maintain accurate patient charts, complete required forms, and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Orient new patients to clinic policies, dosing procedures, and medication schedules
  • Occasionally conduct assessments or assist with intake process
