Job Title: Locum - Physician - Traumatic Brain Injury/General Medicine Facility and Practice Overview
Join a dedicated team providing vital services to our nation's Veterans. This position offers an opportunity to conduct both General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury exams, ensuring that those who have served receive comprehensive evaluations. Various locations across Michigan, including Alpena, Cadillac, and Marquette, provide flexible options for work availability.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments focused on General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury.
- Conduct one-time non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments.
- Complete required evaluations in a timely manner and document findings in VES's provider portal.
- Utilize a Goniometer for range of motion testing and muscle strength assessments.
- Conduct record reviews and follow-up administrative work including addendums and medical opinions.
- Assess and diagnose respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
- Participate in ongoing training and adhere to certification requirements.
Qualifications
- Board Certified in Neurology, Neurosurgery, or PM&R.
- Proficient in METs testing and evaluation of musculoskeletal conditions.
- Possess a personal laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
- Must be willing to complete DMA training for certification.
- Active and unrestricted medical license in Michigan.
- Current CV documenting home address.
License and Certification Requirements
- Active Michigan State License.
- Board Certification in the relevant specialty.
- Certification in DMA upon completion of training.
