Job Title: Locum Physician - Traumatic Brain Injury/General Medicine
Join a dedicated practice committed to serving our nation's veterans in Iowa. As a physician, you will perform a combination of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury exams, working with a team that prioritizes quality care and accessibility for all.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation and Pension (C&P) exams and separation health assessments.
- Perform primarily interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Complete standardized reporting forms within 48 hours of examinations.
- Submit evaluations through the provider portal, ensuring thorough record reviews as needed.
- Participate in quick credentialing and onboarding processes, including completion of DMA training and certification.
- Engage in administrative follow-up work, including addendums and medical opinions.
- Utilize a goniometer for assessments and be proficient in METs testing.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Neurology, Neurosurgery, or PM&R.
- Active and unrestricted full medical license in Iowa.
- Proficient in evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
- Must own a personal laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
- Willingness to complete necessary DMA training and certification.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Current Iowa state medical license.
- Board Certification required.
