Job Title: Locum Physician - Traumatic Brain Injury/General Medicine
Join our team in Georgia, where we are seeking dedicated physicians to conduct General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury examinations. This practice serves as a vital resource for our nation's Veterans, operating from various locations in the state, including Augusta, Columbus, and Hinesville/Savannah. Flexibility is key, as the position is PRN (as needed) with options for half-day or full-day shifts.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments.
- Conduct primarily interview-based assessments with some physical evaluations.
- Document findings in standardized forms and submit reports within 48 hours.
- Evaluate and diagnose conditions related to traumatic brain injury.
- Maintain accurate records and complete administrative tasks related to evaluations.
- Participate in training for Reporting/DBQs as required.
- Utilize a Goniometer and conduct range of motion testing and muscle strength evaluations.
- Engage in follow-up administrative work, including addendums and medical opinions.
Qualifications:
- Board Certification in Neurology, Neurosurgery, or PM&R required.
- Must possess an active, unrestricted medical license in the state of Georgia.
- Proficient in METs testing and evaluating respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
- Experience with musculoskeletal evaluations is preferred.
- Own a working laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
- Willingness to complete DMA training to become DMA certified.
- Current CV with home address listed.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active and unrestricted medical license in Georgia.
- Board Certification in relevant specialty.
- Must complete DMA certification requirements post-credentialing.
