Neurology Physician

Coverage Needed:

• August 4, 2025 - ongoing
• Schedule: 24-hour call shifts (7 AM - 7 AM), Sporadic weekend stints
• Open Dates:
  • August 4 (7 AM) - August 8 (7 AM)
  • August 15 (7 AM) - August 21 (7 AM)
  • All of October - December ( 10-11 days per month)

Clinical Details:

• Heavy surgical emphasis
• EMR: Epic
• Support Staff: Dedicated CNS available M-F day shift; General Neurosurgery APPs available at night; New consults handled by a call neuroendovascular surgeon
• Preferred: Neurosurgeon with endovascular capabilities
• 100% adult
• 50% trauma
• 100% inpatient
• 0-5 hospital based patients per day
• Must be comfortable with open endovascular procedures, but most procedures are done in the interventional/cath lab

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Neurological Surgery (ABNS, NES)
• Active CO license or IMLC
• ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), DEA
• Provider must be able to do thrombectomies and clippings so they do not have to transfer the patient
• Ability to do Open Cerebrovascular and Neuroendovascular coverage
• Comfortable with heavy surgical emphasis
• COVID vaccinated
• Clean background/no malpractice, willing to consider providers with 1 malpractice case settled under $300k
• Must be available to cover the specified open dates
• Will not accept a Neuro interventional radiologist
