- Additional Details: Job Description: Dates of covereage:5/1- 8/30 Coverage needed while they recruit for perm Inpatient, hospital-based setting with responsibilities for rounding, consults, and postoperative care No OR/First Assist or procedural work required Must have a basic understanding of acute neurosurgical and stroke emergencies, ICU care, neurosurgical elective procedures, and postoperative management Coverage includes 240 hours in a 6-week schedule with weekend shifts Hours are 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., in-house coverage required weekend covereage required every 4th week No on-call duties Expected to see an average of 10 patients per day EMR system used: eCare/Cerner Level 1 Trauma Center with Comprehensive Stroke designation Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will work autonomously Supervising physician available off-site, on-call 24/7 No new graduates will be accepted Procedures required: simple suture for minor laceration repair Patient demographics range from ages 0 to 99
