UOVUNIUSREXTERNALENUS Administer and score a battery (>50) neuropsychological and psychological tests to evaluate cognitive and neuropsychiatric functioning under the direct clinical supervision of a licensed neuropsychologist. Position involves working with children, adolescents and adults diagnosed with significant neurodegenerative diseases such as brain tumors, dementia or traumatic brain injury. Some of these patients will have concomitant psychological or psychiatric disorders. This position requires a substantial amount of training, and a minimum of a two-year commitment is requested.
- Administers and scores a battery of neuro-psychological and psychological tests of cognitive and neuropsychiatric functioning.
- Completes applicable evaluation materials with the patient.
- Maintains testing supplies and materials.
- Assumes responsibility for professional development of self and contributes to and assists with the professional development of others.
- In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
- Bilingual preferred
Position Compensation Range: $23.76 - $38.02 Hourly
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Experience: No experience required. Preferred neuropsychological testing experience working with patients of all ages, experience with standardized psychological test administration & scoring, knowledge of behavior management techniques, detail-oriented and organized approach.
Licensure: None required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires standing and sitting for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping and reaching (overhead, extensive, and repetitive). Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 50 - 100lbs. May be exposed to radiation, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience working with older adults
- Experience with standardized psychological test administration, knowledge of behavior management techniques, and psychology coursework in undergraduate or graduate school
-Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively work with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community
-Ability to communicate complex technical information easily
- Bilingual
